JWL test

This is the technical standard for passenger cars wheel (except for the car has capacity more than 11people and two-wheeled vehicle). Manufacturers carry out a test based on the standard of JWL by themselves and is admitted to put the JWL mark only for the wheels that can pass the test.

SSR scraps more than 800pcs of wheel for testing.

13° impact test

Checking the damage (crack, air leaking etc) when dropping the specified weight for each wheel sizes.
Dynamic cornering fatigue test (JWL : 100,000 rotation)

Checking the durability for bending moment with more than 100,000 rotation.
Dynamic radial fatigue test (drum test) (JWL : 500,000 rotation)

Checking the durability for radial load. In this test, wheel nut looseness other than crack etc.

Crack check

Visible dye penetrant methond is used for crack check. This method is also used in racing.
VIA

VIA is the third party to inspect if the wheel can pass JWL standard. The wheels can pass JWL standard test are registered VIA and admitted to be put VIA mark.
